The first glitch is moving a leg backward and down thinking it will hit the floor
The leg is in mid-air , doesn’t hit the floor and the person starts to fall
When the fall starts, the leg moves to the side causing the person to lose balance and fall
The Ladder Safety System has physical parts that stop people from losing their balance.
•The upper rungs have extended steps that mimic the floor
•These steps stop the fall because the foot hits these plates and people don’t lose their balance.
There can be more step extensions on higher rungs
Second step extension can be 10” or more
First step extension can by 15 “ or more
The extended steps catch the foot and force it to land on the step.

Second Phase
Add side panels to prevent people from stepping sideways, lose their balance and fall
The foot hits the side panel and it kicks back as a reaction and stops the “off- balance” fall.
Side panels
Side panels stop people from extending their leg out from the ladder
The leg bumps into the side panel and then retracts to the step
This prevents people from losing their balance by stepping of the ladder.
